With the winter days getting shorter, colder and darker, there’s nothing more we love to do than snuggle up on the sofa with a nice cuppa and our favourite boxset.
It’s always a chore to get yourself up and to the gym or out for a run, particularly when it’s still dark outside, but we all know how much better we feel after we’ve done it. Even after work, getting changed into your gym gear is less likely than meeting the Pope, so mio is here to help.
We’ve got 5 tips to help you stay motivated through the winter months and help run all those mince pies off and give you room for more.
You come home late from work, haven’t had your dinner, it’s dark outside and the thought of going through your wardrobe to pick out your gym gear just doesn’t quite have the same desired effect as the thought of curling up on the sofa.
So, packing your gym bag the night before and bringing it to work can help you get your butt into gear. Finish work and go straight to the gym so you don’t have the temptation of your TV and sofa right in front of you. Get that sweat on girl!
The last thing you want to do is start cooking your dinner after a workout session, but a girl’s gotta eat! So prep your food the night before and have it ready to heat up for when you get home. A lot of us underestimate the power of having an actual workout plan. You don’t want to turn up to your gym already unmotivated and not have a clue what you want to do. Take some pics every 4 weeks and watch your progress. We’re rooting for you!
