We all know green smoothies are good for us, but more often than not they look better than they taste. We’ve done our research and have tried a fair few to find you a brightly coloured, refreshing green smoothie that actually tastes like you could drink it every day of the week!
Half an avocado
One cup of a chopped pineapple (frozen or fresh)
One cup of chopped mango (frozen or fresh)
2 handfuls of fresh spinach
Half a cup of coconut water
Put all ingredients in to a blender and mix thoroughly. Add more coconut water or mineral water if you want a thinner consistency!
Avocado: Everyone and their grannies are eating avocados, and making sure we know about it on Instagram too! The truth is, they’re not just a pretty green fruit, but a hydrating machine too! They’ll do wonders for your skin by hydrating it to keep it glowing, even in these dull winter months!
Pineapples and Mango: Not only do these fruits give the smoothie a nice exotic taste (think pina colada!), they are full to the brim with vitamins and goodness. Mangoes are known for their carotenoids which will give you a lovely warm glow, and pineapples are jam-packed with vitamin C, perfect for collagen building and skin firming!
Spinach: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E , Vitamin B and Vitamin K – need we say more?
Coconut water: Coconut water is on trend at the moment too, and there is method to the madness! Not only does this make the smoothie the right consistency, but it’s incredibly hydrating too.
