How To Become A Morning Exerciser

Everyone has seen these ‘morning exercisers’ on Instagram…they’ve posted a picture of themselves in the gym, or outside with a beautiful view before you’ve even started to hit the snooze button. Truth is, if you’re inspired by these wonderful gym bunnies, avocado ambassadors or morning runners…you can become one too, and we’ve got a few steps to help you along the way!

How to become a morning exerciser:

1. Plan it in with your gym partner

It’s much harder to avoid a morning workout when you’ve made it a date! Plan something in with a (reliable) friend, travel in together and motivate each other! It’ll be much harder to cancel and you’ll have a whole lot more fun too! Fool proof tactic!

2. Prepare the night before

Get your kit ready the night before and lay it out by your bed, that way you can’t make any excuses if you can’t find your trainers or sports bra the next morning!

3. Let the light in!

Leave your blinds open when you go to bed at night. It’s relatively dark in the winter months, so this shouldn’t affect the way you sleep, but instead will help wake you up slowly (with a lot less resentment) in the morning!

4. Use music to get ready!

Everyone always makes fantastic playlists for their workouts, but why not make one, perfectly timed to get ready? Choose, happy, motivational songs that last around 20 minutes to help you wash your face, jump in to your gym kit and get yourself together!

5. Drink a glass of water right after you wake up

Hydrate yourself for a better performance (when you finally make it outside). With a glass of water sitting in your belly we’re pretty sure you’ll have to jump out of bed sooner rather than later too…
