Your second trimester is, for a lot of women, a bit of a relief. You’re starting to look and feel more pregnant, as well as having more energy than in the first 12 weeks.  You’ll probably be getting used to the idea of being pregnant now, and it’s in your second trimester, weeks 13 to 28, that you’ll see your bump get a lot bigger and you’ll start to feel the baby move for the first time!
Here are our top 5 tips for getting through the second trimester…
1. Start thinking about names and decide if you want to know the gender!
One of the most exciting and fun part of pregnancy is making up a list of potential baby names. During your second trimester, you’ll have the option to find out if you’re having a boy or a girl. This is completely up to you – do you want it to be a surprise, or do you want to plan what name and clothes you’re going to choose based on the gender?
Either way, taking the time to think about names is a lovely task, and definitely not one to be taken lightly. Take advice from your partner, friends and family, but one word of warning – don’t share it with anyone else that’s more pregnant if you’ve got your heart set on one in particular! They might get in there first…
2. Look after your skin.
Skincare is quite often forgotten about during pregnancy until it’s too late. Your body is going to grow and stretch to accommodate this baby, and you need to help prepare it!
