We know how important it is during mamahood to use products tried, tested and trusted by your fellow mamas. And who doesn’t love a skincare recommendation? That’s why we’ve asked some of our mamas to write guests blogs about their pregnancies and how Mama Mio helped them to feel their best during their journey of a lifetime.
This week, we spoke to Maria Breese, actress, producer, model and super-mama to baby Declan about how she kept true to herself during her 9-month s-t-r-e-t-c-h.
When I first found out that I was pregnant, my immediate response was… panic. I wasn’t sure how my body would react, how my life was about to change and if I would still feel like the, “me” that I had come to know all of these years. As I have said in past posts, the first thing I did (aside from panic), was contact friends who had just been pregnant or had babies. They all seemed to have one thing in mind first: no one’s journey is the same… try to exercise and find a great skincare routine for your belly and boobies… and don’t be afraid to treat yourself ;). I did all of the above… with gusto.
So, I went online, ordered my Mama Mio (thank you, Amelia), and started off with my Tummy Rub Butter. I kid you not, I started using it around 7 weeks pregnant (went through 4 tubs) and didn’t stop until my postpartum goodies came from my amazing Mama Mio family this past week.
In reality and really thinking back on this, along with exercise and continuing my healthy eating habits, my skincare routine was something that kept me feeling like myself while my ever-changing body was growing my amazing little son. I had something to look forward to at the end of every night and had a sense of regularity during a time in my life that was changing with the second! Luckily, I have been able to bounce back fairly quickly, postpartum, but a part of me really misses the adventure that my first pregnancy laid out for me.
I have to say.. and this is the Gods honest truth, I cannot wait to try the postpartum products and start a new adventure in this new body. I’m a different person now, with an incredible little wiggly man that’s also ever growing and changing. Thank you, Mama Mio. It’s been a pleasure having you as a partner for this ride.
