Top 10 Gym Bag Essentials

Top 10 Gym Bag Essentials

We’ve all been through the struggle, knowing how great we’ll feel after going to the gym, but we just can’t be bothered to get up and do it. So get organised and be sure to stock up on these gym bag essentials to make the whole escapade that little more bearable. Once you’re done, you’ll feel great!

1. Music

Music is the main priority when it comes to working out, running on a treadmill just isn’t the same without Beyonce blasting out the earphones. Grab yourself some wireless ones so you don’t suffer from the annoying tangle we all endure with normal earphones! Pump the volume up for that extra motivation on the treadmill. You can do it!

2. Workout Wear

We all know looking good while working out gives us that extra motivation. Get some funky leggings and team with a mathcing top to be the belle of the ball/gym.

3. Stay Hydrated

The most important thing whilst working out is staying hydrated, keep a bottle of water in your gym bag and re-fill it daily with fresh water. Our favourites are the filter bottles, which filter your water as you fill it and keeps your thirst at bay.

4. Hair Ties

Hair bobbles. We buy them, we use them, we lose them, it’s a vicious circle. Keep a pack in your gym bag to ensure your tresses don’t stick to your face whilst you’re working out – not a good look! The Invisibobbles are perfect for not only keeping your locks secure, but minus the annoying dint most hair bobbles leave post-ponytail.

5. Mio Skincare Gym Kit

The Mio Skincare Gym Kit (£21) contains two workout necessities and is compact enough to stick in the side pocket of your gym bag. Perfect. The kit includes Clean Slate Swipes to remove make up before getting your sweat on and Workout Wonder Invigorating Muscle Gel, to relax muscles after exercising. Voila!

6. Footwear

A very important factor for working out is correct footwear. If you don’t have a well fitted, well sized pair of trainers then you could be causing yourself some real problems. Not only will it affect your knee and ankle joints but it could really cause issues with your back, too. So head over to Nike and get yourself fitted properly for a good pair of trainers, it’s worth the investment.

7. Towel

An undermined and underestimated object. Often forgotten but never unwanted. Whether you’re simply dabbing down a light sweat or planning on heading straight to work after the gym, it’ll always come in handy!

8. Deodorant

Stay fresh post workout by making sure you have a deodorant in your bag. There’s nothing worse than smelling like you’ve just done 10 miles on the rowing machine! Throw a roll on in and keep those underarms smelling of roses.

9. Shower Essentials

If you’re one of those that likes to workout before you go to work, then make sure you have shampoo, conditioner and shower gel to hand. The Mio Skincare QuickStart Shower Gel (£18) is a firm favourite, containing zingy spearmint to exhilarate and Coconut derived cleansers to deep-clean without stripping our bodies of vital oils. For shampoo and conditioner, Grow Gorgeous have a range that not only leaves hair looking and smelling wonderful, but that also help grow, nourish and thicken.

10. Moisturiser

Once you’re fresh and clean from showering, generously apply some body butter. It nourishes your skin and smells delicious! Our Mio Skincare Future Proof Active Body Butter (£35) gives extreme Omega moisture and contains free-radical fighting antioxidants, it leaves your skin glowing and smelling divine.
